Appetizers: Some cucumber with cream cheese and smoked salmon accompanied by green salad. Personally, I would add some cranberries and peanuts in the salad, to make it more special, but that’s…as always…totally up to you folks!

Main course: My suggestions are, Spaghetti or risotto with Shrimps ! Both dishes are very tasty and « to the point » for a romantic soiree ! (if you know what I mean..) Plus, these are very easy to make…ok the risotto not so much, you may want to go with the spaghetti choice if you want something super easy !

Cheese platter: Cheese platters after the main course is a “must” for more formal dinners, and since Valentine’s dinner is formal enough, buy some nice pieces of cheese to offer to your guests. Adding some olives, slices of bread and some fruits will make it absolutely perfect!

Drinks: Wine…wine…wine… white (due to your main course) – and maybe some sparkling also, because again…this is Valentine’s night, full of love and romance!!!

Dessert: A strawberry cheesecake is a great choice for dessert. Light, tasty, beautiful to look and red enough to be your “Valentine” dessert! Needless to say, if you don’t have the time or the energy to make it yourself … buy it from your favorite local pastry shop!!! No one will judge you…as a matter of fact, I would probably give you an applause … Lol!!!
